A historic inn in Bucks County, one of the area’s oldest buildings, has just gone up for sale, and its connection to American history is vast. James McGinnis wrote about the historic property for the Bucks County Courier Times.

The General Greene Inn, located in Buckingham, has recently gone up for sale. The 260-year-old property, which sits at the corner of Durham and York roads, takes its name from an important commander, who was active in the area during the Revolutionary War.

General Nathanael Greene was known as one of George Washington’s most talented and dependable officers, according to Wikipedia.

Once a tavern and then a hotel, the property most recently hosted the Edna’s Antiques shop. Now, the historic property is up for grabs by those who would wish to preserve it or use it for tourism.

Many would consider this location to be at the crossroads of several areas in Bucks County. The four-way intersection it is located at can take one to Lahaska, New Hope, Upper Black Eddy, or Doylestown. Whoever the next owner will be will have a property that sits on the middle of several major townships and boroughs.
