The 2SP Brewing Company in Aston gained some Chester County fans Feb. 25 at the Kennett Winterfest with its Cherry Cordial Bourbon Russian created by brewer Bob Barrar and his team, writes Tara Smith for the Daily Times.

The popular spirit was aged in Bourbon barrels for nine months.

The brewer has won more than 30 Great American Beer Festival medals and 11 World Beer Cups.

Bob Barrar and his small 2SP team put out over seven thousand barrels in 2022, making 2SP one of the top 10 breweries in the state.

2SP Brewing has been around since 2014 and is part of a family of businesses, the 2SP Group, that includes the Two Stones Pubs chain, a new 2SP Tap House in Chadds Ford and 2SPizza in Newark.

The brewery collaborates with other breweries and with businesses like Wawa to develop its product line.

Craft brewing is a competitive business but, “we’re all small businesses and we all need each other,” said 2SP’s Director of Sales and Marketing Mike Contreras

2SP also takes an active role to help the community by supporting local charities.

“It goes beyond beer,” Contreras said.
