Famed law clerk and the subject of the 2000 Oscar-winning film named for her, Erin Brockovich will speak at West Chester University on Saturday, March 11, at 8 PM.

Tickets are now on sale to the public at wcupatix.com or 610.436.2266. The event takes place in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building at 700 S. High Street in West Chester.

Brockovich is being programmed by the university as part of the President’s Speaker Series. Following her speech, Brockovich will be interviewed by WCU President Christopher Fiorentino.

Environmentalist and activist Erin Brockovich became a 20th century icon overnight thanks to Julia Roberts’ Oscar-winning tour de force portrayal in the 2000 film named for her. Brockovich’s dogged persistence was the impelling force behind the $333 million paid by Pacific Gas & Electric to residents of Hinkley, California, for groundwater contamination. It was the largest medical settlement lawsuit in history.

A modern-day icon who welcomes taking on the voice for the sometimes voiceless, Brockovich has leant her ardent support to many compelling environmental causes. Brockovich motivates audiences with her life experiences, her four steps to success, and her advocacy for causes that matter.

Remaining WCU Live! shows this season include: Rhythm of the Dance on Tuesday, March 14 at 7 PM, and Tamagawa University Taiko Drumming and Dance on Tuesday, April 11 at 7 PM. Tickets for both of these events are also on sale at wcupatix.com.
