December 2022 was an interesting month for Pennsylvania. It had the eighth largest number of UFO sightings in the U.S., with 16 cases filed that month, according to the Mutual UFO Network January newsletter.

Locally, you have to go back to June 22, 1952, for an official UFO incident, when a witness in Chester recalled seeing four oval-shaped objects moving in formation around 5:45 p.m., according to testimony with the National UFO Reporting Center.

The witness was six or seven years old at the time and was walking to Linton’s restaurant at 9^th and Butler in Chester with his mom, dad and 5-year-old brother. That’s when they saw the four flying objects in formation.

 “My father called out to two women walking on the other sidewalk and they also saw them, but got very scared and left,” the reporting witness stated.

The family was able to watch the objects for about five minutes.

“It was very strange being so young and seeing that.”

That UFO report was filed on March 15, 2005 with the NURC. No images were included.
