A test of endurance will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday, Nov. 12 during the 35th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Delaware Valley Chapter Philadelphia CF Climb.

The endurance stair climb event, one of the foundation’s oldest events, involves participants running through the stands at the Linc.

The competitive climb includes race timing and age group awards, as well as a non-competitive family-friendly climb.

Take on the challenge as a corporate team, or compete as friend and family teams.

The hope is to have the CF in the CF Climb stand for “cure found.”

“This event is needed in our city now more than ever. Despite all that the last two years have brought us, we felt it important to continue shining a light on the important work our organization does,” said Jessica Wickersham, executive director of the foundation’s Delaware Valley Chapter.

“We are so proud of this longstanding event, and we look forward to celebrating the 35th anniversary of Climb with all of our dedicated families, CF fighters, and corporate supporters.”

The foundation has been preparing its climbers with monthly training events leading up to the Climb, and participants have been hard at work fundraising and recruiting teammates.

The Philadelphia CF Climb takes place 7-11 AM. Registration opens at 7 AM at the Pepsi Plaza gates.

The competitive climb starts at 7:30 AM. The non-competitive climb begins on a rolling basis as soon as the last competitive climber begins.

Climbers are required to finish by 10:30 AM, and festivities in the Pepsi Plaza will conclude at 11 AM.

Participants receive race bibs, and every finisher gets a medal.

Anyone raising $100 or more will receive a t-shirt.

Top finishers will receive awards.

Snacks and water will be provided.

The event features sponsors, vendors, a team photo area, a cheer zone, the Eagles marching band, and Swoop!
