Gatsby’s Bar & Grill in Aston has opened its doors to customers, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Delaware County News Network.

Located in the same building that used to house C.R. Shenanigans at 4936 Pennell Road, the new restaurant is run by owner Bob Keates and general manager Meghan Woody.

Keates, a movie buff, based the name and unique décor of the new bar and grill on The Great Gatsby. The design style is from the 1920s, while menu items have been given names from the book and film.

With renovations now complete, the result is an inviting family restaurant by day and a neighborhood tavern by night. For entertainment, there will be live music on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. There are also 19 televisions, a projection screen, a dance floor, and a banquet room with space for 125 guests.

The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps, along with meat, pasta, and seafood entrees.

“We’re different than the chains,” said Woody. “I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with chains, but our restaurant is unique, locally owned and operated, and one of a kind.”
