AFC Radnor offers state-of-the-art fitness facilities to the community.

In June of 2020, AFC Radnor was just an idea of Bryn Mawr fitness mogul Matt Littman. At the height of the pandemic, he was trying to ensure that two gyms in Feasterville and Bala Cynwyd were up to safety protocols while also dealing with the challenge of having to lay off 300 employees.

Even when things seemed hopeless, Littman was sure his vision was going to come to fruition, writes Melissa Jacobs for Main Line Tonight.

“I didn’t know how long the pandemic was going to last, but I knew that people would, at some point, return to normalcy, get out of their homes and get back into shape,” said Littman.

Now his dreams are coming true, and the CEO has opened the $6 million state-of-the-art fitness center, AFC Radnor. Replacing the old Philadelphia Sports Club, it occupies a 42,000- square-foot two-story space. Guests get the spa experience with hydrotherapy recovery beds, a four-lane heated indoor pool, and saunas in their locker rooms.

Weights stations are on the lower level and bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals are upstairs and “strategically placed.” There will be additional classrooms with elevated sound tech and lighting.

The upper floor also features an in-house café that offers acai bowls, omelet bites, avo toast, and La Colombe coffee. Littman says he wants to attract people who live and work nearby. A monthly membership is $99.
