A Phil & Jim's hoagie, reported to be 'the best hoagie on earth.'

In June, 2021, Phil & Jim’s Steaks and Hoagies in Parkside triumphed over Philadelphia competitors by being voted “Best Cheesesteak” in the Delaware Valley Region.

That honor came from the Cheesesteak Madness Tournament, which ranked cheesesteaks in 64 shops in the tri-state area.

Now the national publication Food Network Magazine has declared the Delco shop as having the “Best Hoagie on Earth,” writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

The shop is owned by Dan and Gia Miller and Costa Miller and it’s been in business since 1962.

They’ve also been featured on Fox 29 and CBS 3 around National Cheesesteak Day.

It’s all about using the freshest and the best, says Miller.

“We use the best and freshest cuts of meats sourced from South America and Australia, “ he sayd.

The rolls come fresh daily from Conshohocken Bakery, the steak is finely chopped and sandwiches are made the same way each time.

“People know what they’re getting and it’s quality and superior taste. We get the best steak from the top vendors in Philly and every single thing here is cooked fresh to order,” he says.
