As it readies to open its Northeast Philadelphia location, Topgolf is preparing to start its next project in King of Prussia, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The construction of this 48.5-acre development located at 588 N. Gulph Road (the site of the former American Baptist Churches USA headquarters) is scheduled to begin in the first week of June. The new sports location is expected to open in summer 2023.

“Our focus is on creating more opportunities to enable people to play,” said Topgolf Chief Development Officer Chris Callaway. “The King of Prussia venue is a great example of that as we expand our relationship with the communities in and around Greater Philadelphia, and welcome new and returning players to enjoy the Topgolf experience.”

Each golf location covers 68,000 square feet and costs about $35 million to develop.

Topgolf locations offer visitors an interactive driving range with climate-controlled bays along with a full food and bar menu, live music, and event space. The King of Prussia location will be the company’s third one in Pennsylvania. The company has more than 70 locations nationwide.
