Fairways & Dreams is now open for an unparalleled virtual golf experience in Conshohocken.

Intrepid golfers are already hitting local links, braving April weather of damp mornings and freakish snow squalls. Their intent, however, is to muscle through, toning up the skills necessary to be top-of-game for the sport’s pending sweet-spot months. A high-tech, startlingly lifelike option is now nearby, which provides ideal practice conditions without the chill: Fairways & Dreams, a unique golf experience in Conshohocken.

Its technology has advanced eons ahead of what most people picture as virtual golf. Fairways & Dreams is nothing like those arcade-like rounds where players shoot into what is essentially a wrinkled bed sheet on which a blurry fairway image is projected.

Nor is it the clunky play of past home gaming systems (Wii, anyone? No thank you!).

Fairways & Dreams is the brainchild of Conshohocken couple Tim and Catherine Levy. The business leverages his professional background — he’s an attorney with experience in both tech and venture capital — and her extensive education and career in fitness.

Plus, they’re both avid golfers.

The operating system at Fairways & Dreams, “Trackman 4,” uses dual radar scanners to provide a lifelike round of golf.

Its scanners track players’ motions from the backswing to impact, noting the club path and face angle. Upon connecting with the ball (hopefully), the focus then concentrates on its flight, from takeoff to landing. The technology traces its launch angle, spin rate, and swing curvature.

It maps the 3D trajectory in realtime and can measure the full flight of a ball from four feet to 400 yards.

The Conshohocken site has six bays that can accommodate 24 players (one foursome each) simultaneously.

Fairways & Dreams, a multifaceted destination, also provides:

  • Golf leagues
  • Lessons
  • Kids’ programs
  • Private events (parties, corporate outings, etc.)
  • Golf yoga
  • Merch
  • Food and beverages

It is located in the Plymouth Square Shopping Center, 200 W. Ridge Pike, Suite L-205A, Conshohocken.

More information — including business hours, directions and pricing — is on its website.
