The foundation encourages philanthropy by providing efficient giving vehicles like donor-advised funds, gift annuities, and estate planning advice to generous individuals who want to have an impact in Delaware County and beyond.

The foundation makes grants to strengthen Delaware County’s nonprofit community.

Director of Individual Giving and Events

The Director of Individual Giving and Events will grow the philanthropic revenue

for The Foundation.

They will oversee the foundation’s annual giving program, donor stewardship programs and special events.

They will be responsible for meeting or exceeding the annual fund fundraising goals, implementing special events including Delco Gives Day and developing strategies to grow and steward current and potential foundation donors and fundholders.

They will conduct portfolio reviews and manage the foundation’s annual giving program through direct mail, in-kind donations, workplace giving and online giving; ensure proper donor recognition, create and manage information tracking to enhance the relationship with past and current donors, create personalized stewardship reports, collaborate with the Director of Communications and the Director of Institutional Support, develop policies and procedures for a donor relations program, and work with the CFO, Controller and Development Manager.

Candidates for this position must have a minimum of five years of Development experience including demonstrated success in individual giving and special events fundraising. Database and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required along with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work independently, meet deadlines and delegate responsibilities.

 They must have experience with moves management including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Familiarity with Delaware County and its various communities is preferred.

Healthy Start Case Manager

The Case Manager is responsible for providing phone case management to 30-40

low/moderate risk pregnant and postpartum participants. Case managers provide periodic home visits which may include education and completion of evaluations and screenings.

Case managers assist participants in identifying barriers to accessing health and social services and collaborates with participants and service providers in eliminating these barriers. Case managers work with participants in the development and monitoring of goals.

Case managers work closely with other agencies and programs to ensure families receive appropriate and adequate support without duplication of services.

Responsibilities also include participation in outreach and recruitment strategies to identify potential Healthy Start participants.

Candidates must have a high school diploma with 5 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in Human Services is preferred.

They must have experience working with and delivering case management services to vulnerable populations, experience in maternal and child health issues is a plus, experience working with diverse populations, communities and organizations, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A CPR certification is required as well as child abuse clearances as mandated by PA Act 33, a valid driver’s license and basic computer, typing, and data entry skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Housing Case Manager

The Housing Opportunities Program for Equity (HOPE) Housing Case Manager is a part of the HOPE team, under the direct supervision of the Program Director.

The Housing Case Manager is responsible for providing a high level of case management services to a minimum of 25-30 low to moderate risk HOPE participants that are NOT enrolled in Healthy

Start or Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) programs for ongoing case management services.

Duties include participating in the TFDC Women’s and Children’s Services monthly departmental staff meeting, adhering to all The Foundation for Delaware County and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the confidentiality of client, employee, and other confidential information covered by regulations and professional ethics, maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external customers, participating in outreach and recruitment strategies to identify potential program participants, documenting and tracking all relevant information in the data application,

Completing screenings and assessments, assisting with grant reports.

The case manager must have a high school diploma with more than five years of experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services is preferred.

The applicant must have experience working with and delivering case management services to vulnerable populations, experience in Housing and Supportive Housing Services is a plus, experience in Maternal and Child Health issues is a plus, experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution is a plus.

They must have strong interpersonal communications and organizational skills, CPR certification, child abuse clearances, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

They should have advanced computer, typing, and data entry skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, a proven ability to work in a diverse and stressful environment with families that present multiple barriers, excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
