Foundation for Delaware County Involved in 2 Virtual Events This Week

The Foundation for Delaware County introduces the Community Needs Impact Fund.

The Foundation for Delaware County is sponsoring a virtual event Tuesday and participating in a second on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 4:30 p.m., a panel of tax experts will discuss “Taxation in Uncertain Times—A Look at Current & Proposed Changes.”

The event is hosted by the Delaware County Estate Planning Council.

The panel will cover recent and proposed changes in business, individual, and estate and trust taxation, and look at the strategies for implementing those changes.

Panelists are Bob Simpson, CPA, MST; Andrew Brenner, CPA of Brinker Simpson & Co. and Jonathan Sokoloff, Esq. of Diamond, Polsky & Bauer PC.

The virtual discussion runs 4:30 to 6 p.m.  Introductions and breakout rooms will take place from 4:30 to 5. The CLE Seminar/Program will take place 5 to 5:45 and a question and answer session runs 5:45 to 6 p.m.

Delco Plan of Safe Care

The Foundation for Delaware County is participating in a Wednesday, Jan. 12, webinar from 1 to 2: 15 p.m. that will focus on a new Plan of Safe Care process in Delaware County for women in the perinatal period with substance abuse disorders.

This new program connects them to resources, care and treatment.

The webinar is hosted by Seeds to Sprouts, a Baby’s 1st Project workgroup focused on growing support for families in recovery.

Speakers include representatives from the Maternity Care Coalition, which is the agency leading the Plan of Safe Care process in the county; as well as speakers from some of the organizations supporting referred individuals and families.

These include the Foundation, the Delaware County’s Children & Youth Services, the Office of Early Intervention, and Crozer Health.
