The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in Media, founded in 1953, is a two-year accredited, private non-profit college offering an education for those looking for career development and advancement, college transfer opportunities, and personal growth.

The following positions are available at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology:

Dean of Academic Affairs

The college dean is the chief academic officer of the college and serves on the President’s Cabinet as an advisor and expert in academic functions and as a liaison to external affiliate agencies such as accreditation bodies. 

This position reports directly to the President of the college.

He/she is responsible for administration and supervision of Academic Affairs, including the timely delivery of services and reports as needed. The person will also develop and oversee the academic organizational structure of the college, recruit and work with faculty, establish an effective communication network and supervise the preparation and allocation of the Academic Affairs expenditure and budget.

This position requires strong budget management experience, ability to work with and motivate staff, board members and volunteers and familiarity with MS Teams, Zoom, Canvas, Campus Nexus and MS Office Suite.

The idea candidate will have an earned Doctorate, 2 to 3 years leadership level experience within an educational institution.  Experience working with Higher Education highly desired.

Admissions Representative

The Representative’s responsibility is to project the College’s Mission of “Student Success” to prospective applicants; assisting qualified applicants through the enrollment process, and strengthen and expand partnership efforts to achieve the College’s new student enrollment goals.  This position is also responsible for managing and developing relationships with the constituents of partner and institutional organizations.  This position performs business development, and customer and student relationship management activities.

The Admissions Representative reports directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions & Director of Enrollment Services and Marketing.

The Representative occasionally travels and works non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends and will need flexibility of work schedule.

Qualifications include: Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, vision, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities; a proven track record of achieving sales/business development goals.

Experience in business development and/or B2B sales experience in higher education, account management, and/or related career field, is a plus. Knowledge and implementation of admissions procedures preferred; and to respond to a volume of requests.

 The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field; consideration will be made for individuals with 3+ years relevant work experience;. proficiency with the current edition of Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency with CampusNexus CRM preferred. A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are essential.

Assistant Director of Practical Nursing

The position of assistant director provides direct support to the program director.  The assistant director coordinates assigned functions and provides instruction to students and participates in the activities for the systematic evaluation of the program and revision of the curriculum and instruction and policies and procedures for program improvement.

The position reports to the Director of the Practical Nursing Program.

Essential functions include: coordinating clinical, simulation and lab experiences, student learning outcomes and serves as mentor for clinical faculty; implements college policies and promotes attainment of college and program goals; assumes administrative responsibilities in absence of the director; exhibits an expert knowledge base in area of teaching responsibility; demonstrates expert clinical practice in teaching area.

As a professional registered nurse, the Assistant Director will have the authority, responsibility and accountability for the program including clinical, simulation, and lab instruction of students.

The position requires clinical competence and mastery of course content.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate from an NLNAC approved Nursing School; possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master of Science in Nursing preferred or active pursuit and current enrollment in Masters Program in Nursing; current PA licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse; current CPR certification; five years full-time direct patient care experience and current competence in medical/surgical, obstetrical, or pediatric nursing; minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a nursing program.
