Neumann University took home the gold for its diversity, equity, and inclusion webpage (DEI)_in the 2021 Education Digital Marketing (EDM) awards competition.

EDM announced the results of its national collegiate contest on Nov. 1.

Neumann won the award in EDM’s Diversity Campaign category, one of only seven colleges in the country to receive top honors for a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) project.

EDM grants awards to colleges in several divisions organized according to total enrollment. Neumann won in the group of colleges with student enrollment between 2,501 and 5,000.

The website announces its commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion with the statement, “As a Catholic University in the Franciscan tradition, Neumann recognizes and cherishes the dignity of each person regardless of age, culture, faith, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, language, ability or social class.”

“Our Catholic tradition and Franciscan charism at its best seeks to be inclusive and our mission invites us to be a community that promotes a deep sense of respect and reverence for the dignity of all persons.”

The website points to Neumann’s policies, practices, curricular and co-curricular offerings, and a welcoming, caring campus environment as a reflection to “our commitment to a diverse and inclusive academic community dedicated to promoting social justice for all.”
