These Delaware County Companies Showed the Most Growth in the Pandemic

There are 20 Philadelphia-area public companies that have seen their market capitalizations show pandemic growth since the pandemic started in March 2020, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Of the 20 companies that had pandemic growth, two are solidly in Delaware County while one is in nearby Wayne and one is in nearby Bryn Mawr.

Avantor Inc., a chemical and materials company in Radnor, provided services and raw materials to companies manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccines.  Avantor had a market cap of $23 billion.  Its market cap change since March 2020 is about 300%.  

Lincoln National Corporation, an insurance and investment management company in Radnor, had a market cap of $14.2 billion and a change in market cap of 236% since March 2020.

Teleflex Inc., a provider of specialty medical devices in Wayne, had a market cap of $17.6 billion with a change in market cap since March 2020 of 35%.

Essential Utilities Inc. in Bryn Mawr had a market cap of $11.6 billion. The company provides drinking water and wastewater treatment in Pennsylvania and seven other states. The company saw a 55% change in market cap since March 2020.
