A substance-abuse treatment provider in Havertown, American Treatment Network, will be able to expand now that it’s raised $5.3 million dollars, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The facility opened, in January. It has cared for more than 200 patients in the 8,000 square-foot facility.

The goal is to have 10 outpatient centers over the next several years.

“We started the company about two years ago shortly before the start of the pandemic, so our timing was not the best, but the pandemic has heightened the need for our services,” said Matthew Sullivan, American Treatment Network’s CEO.

There are 10 employees, jumping to 30 by the end of the year.

The Series A equity financing fundraising was led by Independence Alternative Investments of Conshohocken.

It will be used to add outpatient centers throughout the region.  A second clinic will open next month in Wilmington on Churchmans Road near ChristianCare.

A third clinic in Dover, Delaware is planned before the end of the year.

In 2022, American Treatment Network hopes to expand to Montgomery and Bucks counties and South Jersey.

The clinics specialize in “integrated care,” treating physical and behavioral health needs.
