Penn State Great Valley Maintains Its Accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
Penn State Great Valley’s management division has maintained its business accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The management division at Penn State Great Valley offers master’s degrees in accounting, business administration, finance, and leadership development.
AACSB accreditation helps to ensure a school is providing its students with a challenging, relevant education that prepares them for the business world. In order to earn and sustain business accreditation, an institution must align with a set of 15 business accreditation standards that focus on:
- mission and strategic management
- support for students, faculty, and staff
- learning and teaching
- academic and professional engagement of students and faculty
Synonymous with the highest standards of excellence since 1916, AACSB provides quality assurance, business education intelligence, and professional development services to more than 1,600 member organizations and more than 850 accredited business schools worldwide.
Every five years, AACSB conducts a “Continuous Improvement Review” to extend its accreditation of an institution. The process includes a peer review from other accredited business schools in addition to final approval from the board of directors.
