Former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star pitcher Cole Hamels and his family are selling their Newtown Square home. Asking price: $2.95 million, writes Kennedy Rose for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Hamel and his wife, Heidi , custom-built the six-bedroom, 10-bath home at 1004 Brick House Farm Lane.

The 9,720 square-foot home was built in 2014. The three-story home has an in-ground pool, pool house, and a finished walk-out basement.

Other features include two workout rooms and a third floor play area and family room, custom painting with trees and jungle creatures.

Hamels is now a free agent but had a successful career with the Phillies, as well as the Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs.

He pitched for the Atlanta Braves in 2020.

Hamels is familiar with large properties. He donated his 32,000 squre-foot Missouri Ozark home to Camp Barnabas, a Christian nonprofit that helps people with special needs and chronic illnesses.

That property was listed for $9.75 million, but the Hamels opted to donate it instead. Here’s a local TV news story. .
