Two new COVID-19-related death were reported Friday, June 25 since statistics were last reported Wednesday, June 23, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,459 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Fatalities were reported from Upper Darby and Upper Chichester.

Of total fatalities, 838 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

Seven new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported for Friday, June 25 since cases were last reported Wednesday, June 23 in Delaware County.

Total cases for June 25 is.49,862.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 755, affecting 11.62 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,512 cases reported, or 9.05 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 255,654 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 96.54 percent recovery rate.
