Historic Yellow Springs has announced the opening of the 48th Yellow Springs Art Show.

Scroll or stroll your way through the galleries of HYS’s first-ever hybrid event.

The 48th Annual Yellow Springs Art Show opens to the public, in-person, and online at 10 AM on Saturday, April 24 and runs through May 23. The show will be running two weeks longer than usual – a full month – so you will have plenty of time to visit, shop, and enjoy. This year’s show includes 187 juried artists featuring 2-D and 3-D works from a wide range of media and pricing.

HYS is also hosting:

  • Art Around the Village on Sunday, May 2 from 10 AM-2 PM: This outdoor event is your chance to explore the beautiful grounds and see some of the artists in action painting en plein air! There will also be a live pottery demonstration and a pottery sale from the Chester Springs Studio. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch and enjoy live music from Chris Lebresco, and then visit the art show. The beauty of springtime in the village is unparalleled.
  • Mother’s Day Basket Silent Auction from May 2-9: There will be a wide variety of wonderful baskets that Mom will love, and all proceeds benefit HYS.

The galleries in the Lincoln building will be open from 10 AM-4 PM daily. Reservations are not required, and admission is free to the public. Occupancy is limited to 75 people, including staff and volunteers. Mask wearing, social distancing, and other safety guidelines must be followed.

Not all of the artwork will be featured online. Thus, additional works will only be available at HYS. Portfolio pieces (unframed originals and prints) will only be available in-person. Learn more.

Malvern Bank, National Association and ANRO are sponsors of the event. All proceeds benefit arts, education, historic preservation, and the environmental protection of the historic village of Yellow Springs.
