New COVID-19 Delaware County Cases at 138 for Thursday, on Par With Wednesday’s 136 Cases

No new COVID-19-related deaths were reported for Thursday, April 29, according to the Chester County Health Department.

As of Thursday, the health department was reporting a total of 1,384 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of those, 829 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 46 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

New COVID cases

There were 138 new cases reported for Thursday, April 29. Total cases are 46.634.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 733, affecting 11.29 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 6,898 cases reported, or 8.31 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

Negative tests

The county has had 233,541 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting an 87.29 percent recovery rate.
