Some Delaware County Zip Codes Show Higher Percentage Increases in COVID Cases. Most Remain Below 2 Percent
The percentage levels of new cases in most Delaware County Zip codes remained at 1.9 percent or lower for the week prior to March 24.
However, there was a noticeable increase in the number of Zip codes that had 2 percent or higher increases than in the previous week, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.
Six Zip codes were identified:
19087, with 2.55%, 33 new cases for a total of 1,325 (Chesterbrook, St. David’s, Strafford, Radnor, Wayne).
19079, with 2.34%, 16 new cases for a total of 699 cases. (Sharon Hill).
19078, with 2.32%, 20 new cases for a total of 881 (Ridley Park).
19032, with 2.3%,12 new cases for a total of 528 (Folcroft).
19064, with 2.2%, 39 new cases for a new total of 1,797 cases (Springfield).
19022, with 2.1%, had 6 new cases for a total of 283 (Crum Lynne, Chester, Eddystone).
There were 8 Zip codes that had percentage increases 1% or lower. They are:
19015, 1%, 10 new cases for a total of 1,006 (Brookhaven, Chester).
19033, .16%, 1 new case for a total of 613 (Folsom).
19043, .46%, 1 new case for a total of 418.(Holmes).
19050, .59%, 13 new cases for a total of 2,221 (East Lansdowne, Lansdowne, Yeadon).
19076, .68%, 4 new cases for a total of 593 (Prospect Park).
19086, .77%, 6 new cases for a total of 781 (Wallingford, Rose Valley).
19094, .83%, 3 new cases for a total of 365 (Woodlyn).
19373, .36%, 1 new case for a total of 279 (Thornton).
