Pennsylvania Department of Health reports Total COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County as of Feb. 5 Top 38,000

No COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID-19 deaths, were available from the Chester County Health Department for Saturday or Sunday, Feb. 6 and 7.

Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that as of 10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, there were 38,137 total cases of COVID-19 reported for Delaware County.  Please note that state statistics on county caseloads may vary from local health report statistics, which are considered more accurate and up to date.

On Friday, Feb. 5, the Chester County Health Department reported a total of 1,199 COVID-19-related deaths.

Of those, 778 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

There were 228 additional COVID-19 deaths reported in the state since Friday, Feb. 5.Total deaths as of Sunday, Feb. 7, stood at 22,467.
