Pennsylvania Department of Health Lists More Than 37,000 COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County

No COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID-19 deaths, were available from the Chester County Health Department for Saturday or Sunday, Jan. 30 and 31.

Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that as of 10 p.m., Sunday, Jan 29, there were 37,190  total cases of COVID-19 reported for Delaware County.  Please note that state statistics on county caseloads may vary from local health report statistics.

On Friday, Jan. 29, the Chester County Health Department reported a total of 1,190 COVID-19-related deaths.

Of those, 719 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Jan. 31, that there were 9,176 additional cases of COVID-19 since Friday, Jan. 29. Total cases reported Jan. 31 stand at 843,224.

There were 199 additional COVID-19 deaths reported in the state since Friday, Jan. 29. Total deaths as of Sunday, Jan. 31, stood at 21,661.
