If you are looking to surprise the cheese lover in your life, you certainly can’t go wrong with the tasting box from Phoenixville’s Artifaqt, as it earned a spot on the list of the best gifts for cheese enthusiasts, writes Alexandra Ilyashov for New York magazine.

Offered by a family-run woodshop, the $149 Artifaqt Local Love Tasting Box comes with a keep-forever cheese board that is as alluring as the consumables it is accompanied by.

“I love the idea of giving someone a board that they can keep, along with some memorable pairings like chocolate and blue cheese,” said Tenaya Darlington, author of Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese: A Guide to Wedges, Recipes, and Pairings.

Darlington, who is also known as Madame Fromage, likes to serve “handmade cheeses on boards that have been made by hand,” so she often uses surfaces created at Artifaqt, whether she is preparing holiday, birthday, or wedding gifts.

Located on South Main Street in Phoenixville, Artifaqt designs and manufactures finely crafted serveware, home goods, culinary tools, and more.
