If you’re a big fan of cheese boards and appetizers, antipasto, and finger food, but don’t want to go to the trouble of putting it all together, Charcuterie Chic is waiting to take your order.

Charcuterie Chic, owned by Chester County native Sarah Frank and business partner Farah Farag, have a box of artfully arranged goodies that will satisfy any appetite.

Sarah’s always been a Foodie, trying out different appetizers in her family’s West Chester kitchen.

“I’m not much of a chef but I’m an appetizer girl. I’ve always liked creating appetizers and Charcuterie boards,” Sarah says.

Now she and Farah are providing a mix of prepared meats and gourmet cheeses from local vendors like Reading Terminal and the Italian Market.

From summer and spring offerings of light mozzarella to winter’s cozier cheeses like cranberry goat cheese and brie, Charcuterie Chic can satisfy everyone’s tastes.

Mixed in are seasonal fruits, nuts, olives, spreads, jams, cookies, crackers, vegetables and more.

The boxes have been a big hit at birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, tailgating and company events.

There are boxes for larger groups and a single-serve if you’re in a party mood and no one’s around.

Gloves and masks are used to handle the orders to stay COVID safe. Curbside pickup and individual boxes are available for all orders no matter how large.

Charcuterie Chic has been operating since August and business is booming.

The upcoming holidays are feeding into their business success. Charcuterie Chic was recently featured on Fox 29 as a holiday food and party option.

Starting Dec. 1, they will be offering orders for pick up in the suburbs, out of Berwyn.

Sarah says a lot of companies are reaching out right now because they want to give their employees a fun little gift.

This is the 29-year-old entrepreneur’s first business. When she’s not putting boxes together, she’s the Marketing Director for Fashion District Philadelphia. Farah is the District’s Marketing Coordinator.

Charcuterie Chic was born out of the pandemic when business got quieter at the Fashion District. The two women were talking about gift ideas and ways that people could still have fun in a safe way.

“I have a great partner who is very creative as well. We’re very like-minded,” Sarah says.  “We decided to just go for it.”

With concept in hand, they promoted the business on social media and the service took off.

Sarah’s events and marketing background comes in handy in the business, as does her marketing degree from Lynn University in Boca Rotan, Florida.

But she credits who she is to her parents and her West Chester upbringing.  Her father, Joel Frank, is the managing partner at Lamb McErlane and is heavily involved in the community.

Her mother has been a long-time outpatient nurse at Paoli Surgery Center.

“I am who I am because of my parents. “

Sarah was a student at Westtown and returned to West Chester for a while after college. She now lives in Philadelphia.

“I definitely was surrounded by inspirational people that have pushed me and showed me what opportunities were out there,” she says. “It’s kind of in our blood to do more than one thing and try out different opportunities.”

Looking ahead, Sarah says they plan to continue expanding into the suburbs.

“Being from Chester County, I’d love to have more of a presence out in the suburbs and provide for the Chester County community,” she says.
