Malvern Bank House of the Week: Customized Neotraditional in Newtown Square

By

This “Magnolia” model home at 503 Hunter Oaks Lane in Toll Brothers’ Liseter development is available for sale in Newtown Square.

The owner of this showpiece pulled out all the stops, writes Sandy Smith for phillymag.com.

It looks like other “Magnolia” models on the outside.

But this customized house was bought and decorated by an art lover while the Liseter community was still on the rise at the site of a former farm.

The home is move-in ready.

It has two-story-high main-floor spaces, starting at the foyer, branching off into the family room, ending in the huge great room.

The spaces were utilized to make it easy to show off art work. There are nooks for the display of objects and expansive walls for larger works.

Interior designer Gary Ruff created a space that is both contemporary and classic. The formal dining room and top-drawer kitchen display the combination of styles.

The kitchen has two ovens — one in the Jenn-Air range and another Jenn-Air oven on the opposite wall — a microwave/convection combo oven and a wine fridge.

There’s a main-floor primary suite for single-floor living.

The primary bedroom has a tray ceiling. Closets feature California Closets organization systems.

Some of the big-screen HDTVs are still installed for use, including an HDTV built into the backlit mirror over a dual vanity in the primary bedroom.

The family room and atrium just to the left of the front entrance can also serve as a guest bedroom suite.  There’s a study to the left of the main stairs that could be another bedroom or home office.

Upstairs is a princess suite with en-suite bath, two more bedrooms with a hall bath and a spacious playroom.

There is a finished walkout basement.

Out back is a Trex deck and attractive landscaping.

The community where the home resides has a central clubhouse and a large community swimming pool.

Liseter is close to Newtown Street Road and West Chester Pike and near shops and restaurants, including the shopping plaza in the Ellis Preserve development.

The home is listed for $1,699,000 on realtor.com.
