COVID Curious Can Now Get Answers at Delaware County COVID-19 Call Center

By

Answers to COVID-19 questions from Delaware County residents are now a phone call away, reports Dan Cuellar for 6abc.com.

“We set up the call center to be able to help those individuals in the county who aren’t using internet or Facebook or anything to receive notifications,” said Dr. Monica Taylor, a member of the Delaware County Council.

There are seniors who find it easier to register for COVID services through a call center rather than online, Taylor said.

Various county agencies were being inundated with calls about the coronavirus, many of which staff could not answer properly.

Taylor said the county wanted one central place with one number where everyone could get the COVID-19 help they needed.

That help includes providing residents with the latest vaccination information.

The center had about 270 calls by end of day Monday.

The Delaware County Call Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Calls made after hours will be forwarded to voicemail, which will be answered the next day.

The number for the Delaware County Call Center is (484) 276-2100 or you can email Covid19resources@Co.Delaware.Pa.US.
