A new map released by The New York Times provides detailed geographic information on COVID-19 patients in hospitals.

For the seven days ending December 17, the hospital with the highest ICU occupancy in Delaware County was Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland at 94 percent. This is above both the national and state average which stand at 83 and 78 percent respectively. The hospital currently has 67 COVID-19 patients and three available beds in the ICU left.

Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill is at 79 percent ICU occupancy with 28 COVID-19 patients and three available beds.

Meanwhile, Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media has 50 COVID-19 patients, four available ICU beds, and 72 percent ICU occupancy.

The hospital with the lowest ICU occupancy in the county is Mercy Catholic Medical Center – Mercy Fitzgerald in Darby at 66 percent. The hospital has 51 COVID-19 patients and 12 available beds.
