Pennsylvania Reports More Than 22,000 COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County

There were an additional 877 cases of COVID-19 reported in Delaware County by the Pennsylvania Department of Health since Saturday, Dec. 5.

The state health department is now reporting 22,470 cases in the county as of Monday, Dec. 7.

Statistics were unavailable for Monday from the Chester County Health Department. It reported on Friday that 873 county residents have died from complications related to COVID-19.

Of those reported deaths, 634 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Dec. 7, that there were 6,330 new cases of COVID-19 across the state, bringing the statewide total to 426,444.

There were 42 additional COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Dec. 7, for
a total of.11,373.
