COVID patients are occupying an average of 24 percent of beds at Delaware County hospitals.

According to hospital experts cited by NPR, any figure above 20 percent represents “extreme stress” for a hospital.

ICU bed availability in the county is down to 8.4 percent, according to state data.

“By staying home, within your household, you can help us avoid that scenario where we could potentially run out of beds.” Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said.
