Second Annual Delco Arts Week: Culture and Art Virtually and In-Person

By

An international festival in Upper Darby, one of the many events that took place during Delco Arts Week 2019.

The Foundation for Delaware County is once again a sponsor of Delco Arts Week.

This year’s second annual event runs Oct. 3 to 10 and features nearly 50 events.

Delaware County residents can experience a week of art and culture, most experienced virtually, but with some in-person activities also scheduled.

You can get a taste of Delco Arts Week today, Oct. 1, with a free virtual tour of the Artful Arboretum Online Gallery at the Tyler Arboretum. You can also plan a fall foliage hike at the Arboretum for a fee.

Other events Oct. 1 include a free online gallery of Havertown artists at the Kelly Center in Havertown, a mosaics course on the porch of the Schoolhouse Senior Center in Folsom, and an online Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra performance.

Delco Arts Week is presented by the Delaware County Arts Consortium , a collaborative of more than 80 cultural organizations promoting the value of cultural resources to the local community; and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

The Foundation for Delaware County  works to create a vibrant future for Delaware County by promoting generosity in and for the people of the county.
