Luck Shines Down on 2 Winners in Delaware County as Harrah’s and the Lottery Hand Out Big Payouts
Delaware County is turning into a lucky location if you’re looking to win some major cash.
On Oct. 10, Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester gave away its largest jackpot in its history, $1,319,265.50.
Meanwhile, the Wawa in Chadds Ford just sold a lottery ticket worth $3.6 million, writes Michael Tanenbaum for phillyvoice.com.
A Philadelphia guest at Harrah’s won the major life-changing prize through the Table Games Progressive Mega Jackpot. He played a winning hand of Royal Flush of Spades during a game of Four Card Poker.
“We are excited to see a guest experience the thrill of winning the ultimate prize at Harrah’s,” said Chris Albrecht, Harrah’s Philadelphia General Manager. “The Progressive Mega Jackpot has had a lot of winners over the years, but this unparalleled win is truly something to celebrate!”
The Wawa at 721 Naamans Creek Road, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling a winning Match 6 Pennsylvania Lottery ticket worth $3.6 million. The winning ticket was purchased at the store on Oct. 14.
The ticket matched all six winning numbers in the drawing: 16-17-21-28-46-48.
