This year’s event took place at it its new Ridley Creek State Park location, adding to the fun for everyone who joined in.

There was a super hero participation of 21 exhibitors, 250 participants, 151 runners and 20 sponsors supporting the Child Guidance Resource Centers’ efforts.

It was the biggest turnout ever for the Super Hero 5K.

This year’s fundraiser raised approximately $15,000, which will go to support children and families struggling with mental health behavioral health and addictions.

Child Guidance wasn’t the only big winner at this year’s event.

A special surprise was 12-year-old Peyton Richardson. She flew through the race wearing her superhero cape, becoming the overall women’s winner.

Thanks to every superhero who came, or donated, or ran. They each helped change lives by getting involved.
