Citadel Credit Union Now Accepting Nominations for Its Heart of Learning Award Program

By

Citadel Credit Union has kicked off the 19th Annual Citadel Heart of Learning Award program, which honors local teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty.

The program accepts nominations from students, other teachers, administrators, and members of the community. Nominations are accepted through Dec. 31, 2020.

According to Citadel, recognizing teachers is especially important this year with all they’ve done to accommodate virtual learning and/or keep students safe during the pandemic.

A Facebook Live virtual ceremony will take place today, Oct. 21, at 6:30 PM to kick off the nomination period. Register for the Facebook event here.

Teachers can be nominated one of two ways:

  1. Fill out the form: It’s simple, and you can write your nomination directly in the form.
  2. Submit a video nomination on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. To enter, tag @CitadelBanking with #CitadelHeartofLearning, and share why your teacher deserves to be nominated. Make sure to follow @CitadelBanking and include your teacher’s name and the name of your school in your video. Try to keep it under 90 seconds but get as creative as you’d like!

The Citadel Heart of Learning Award is a teaching excellence award that recognizes local teachers who show dedication both in and out of the classroom. In 2001, Citadel partnered with the Chester County Intermediate Unit to establish a program that recognizes and honors local teachers. Since its inception, the Citadel Heart of Learning Award program has recognized thousands of teachers for their tireless dedication to students and the community and awarded more than $200,000 in grants.
