Nin Bell from Brookhaven is part of a group of  working class White women who didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton in the last election but are now determined to vote for Joseph Biden, reports the Washington Post, as reprinted in the Longview News Journal.

White women have said in interviews they’re concerned about Trump’s recklessness, divisiveness and lack of empathy for struggling Americans.

A perceived mishandling of the coronavirus crisis and encouragement of violence in racism protests have also made these women more supportive of the Democrats.

”He made a lot of mistakes. He just runs his mouth. . . . He’s the president, he can’t get away with that, especially when people’s lives are in danger,” Bell said of Trump.

These women are an important voting bloc in this presidential election and are courted by both campaigns.

Biden is appealing to these voters by promising to bring calm and humanity to the White House, characteristics appealing to women voters.

The Trump campaign is emphasizing “law and order”, opposition to abortion rights and the pre-pandemic strength of the economy.

Targeting suburban housewives, he Tweets that Biden will destroy their neighborhood and the American Dream.
