Forbes: See Which 3 Delaware County Companies Made the Top List of Best Employers in PA

Three businesses located in Delaware County made the top 100 list of best employers in Pennsylvania.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify organizations most liked by their employees in that nation and by state, writes Vicky Valet for Forbes.com.

The survey interviewed 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees between October 2019 and May 2020.

For the second year, government agencies dominate the national ranks, particularly the Department of Defense, in spite of the fact that many have faced criticism over their responses to the coronavirus pandemic.

Software giant SAP in Newtown Square placed eighth with 96,498 employees.

Delaware County’s Wawa was 76th on the list with 21, 000 employees.

Main Line Health, headquartered in Radnor, placed 89th, with 10,000 employees.

The employer offering the most employee satisfaction in Pennsylvania was Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, with 6,077 employees.

The Federal Reserve System, with 22,857 employees, took the number two slot.

Hershey’s pulled in the third spot. It has 14,520 employees.

Penn Medicine claimed the fourth highest spot in the state. It has 41,358 employees.

SEPTA rounded out the top five positions. it has 9,517 employees.
