There were 70 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Delaware County for Tuesday, Sept. 1. Total number of cases is now at 10,472.
No additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported, with the total death toll for the county remaining at 773.
Of those, 604 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

COVID-19 fatalities have now been reported in 39 of the county’s 49 municipalities.
Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 516 cases, affecting 4.5 percent of its 11,471 population.
Upper Darby has the most cases reported, at 1,665, affecting 2.01 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 88,402 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 80.08 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Sept. 1, that there were 770 new cases of COVID-19 across the state, bringing the statewide total to 134,795.
There were 18 new COVID-19 related deaths reported, with the total now at. 7,691.
