Four Delaware County schools are among the 40 top-rated public high schools in the Philadelphia region, according to a recently published list by the Philadelphia Magazine.
The top performers in the city and its suburbs – listed alphabetically – were determined by standardized tests and graduation rates, among other statistical measures.
Garnet Valley High School in Glen Mills with 1,337 students made the list with a graduation percentage of 97, a college percentage of 91, and verbal/math in SAT scores of 600/590.
Haverford High School in Havertown which has 1,886 students is next with a 96 percent graduation rate, 88 percent college rate, and 596/584 for its SAT scores.
Meanwhile, Radnor High School with 1,196 students recorded a graduation percentage of 97 percent and a college percentage of 91 percent and SAT scores of 667/639.
Finally, Strath Haven High School in Wallingford with 1,194 students rounds out the list with a 94 percent graduation rate, 90 percent college rate, and SAT scores that came in at 613/614.
