Delco Places 12 Among Top 100 Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania, Including No. 1

Niche.com has unveiled its 2019 Best Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania, a ranking based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and data from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as millions of reviews from students and parents.

Delaware County placed 12 schools from five different school districts among the Top 100, including Ithan Elementary and Radnor Elementary of the Radnor Township School District at Nos. 1 and 10, respectively.

Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.

The following elementary schools, with school district in parentheses, were among the Top 100:

  • 12. Wallingford (Wallingford-Swarthmore)
  • 17. Swarthmore-Rutledge (Wallingford-Swarthmore)
  • 25. Wayne (Radnor Township)
  • 34. Nether Providence (Wallingford-Swarthmore)
  • 51. Bethel Springs (Garnet Valley)
  • 66. Indian Lane (Rose Tree Media)
  • 71. Rose Tree (Rose Tree Media)
  • 75. Garnet Valley (Garnet Valley)
  • 97. Chatham Park (Haverford Township)
  • 100. Media (Rose Tree Media)
