‘Measure Your Cat’s IQ’ with New Book by Ambler Feline Behavior Specialist

By

Calla Knopman, an Ambler resident and feline behavior specialist, has penned a book that helps cat lovers measure the IQ of their four-legged friends, writes Pete Mazzaccaro for the Chestnut Hill Local.

Knopman got the idea for the book after she started to volunteer for Brenda’s Cat Rescue in February last year. The Associate Principal for the Hackett Group in Conshohocken previously volunteered in other local shelters and rescues, but this was a new experience for her.

“It’s not that any group loves and cares for the cats any less, but at BCR, each cat has a dedicated foster who is responsible for both its mental, emotional and physical health as well as approving adoptions,” she said.

“Measure Your Cat’s IQ: Tales from the Devilish Genius to the Feeble Minded Fuzzball” is currently available on Amazon as a paperback or Kindle version.

“I have gotten some very funny responses from readers,” said Knopman.

The author has also written the children’s picture book “Gabby the Detective” about a kitten trying to decide what she will be when she grows up. Knopman believes it will be published later this summer.
