There were 59 additional cases of COVID-19 reported in Delaware County for Thursday, Aug. 13, by the Chester County Health Department, bringing the total number of cases to 9,541.

No additional COVID-19 deaths were reported, with the total in the county remaining at 752.

Of those, 593 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

COVID-19 fatalities have now been reported in 39 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 491 cases, affecting 4.28 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby has the most cases reported, at 1,518, affecting 1.83 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 71,726  people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 75.31 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Aug. 13, that there were 991 new cases of COVID-19 across the state since Wednesday, Aug. 12, bringing the statewide total to 122,121.

There were 24 additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the state total to 7,409.
