COVID-19 statistics for Delaware County were unavailable from the Chester County Health Department for Sunday, Aug. 2.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 148 additional cases of COVID-19 for Sunday, Aug. 2 in Delaware County since numbers were last reported Thursday, July 30.

Total number of cases in the county as of Aug. 2 is 8,804

State statistics do not include a municipal breakdown of COVID-19 cases.

The Chester County Health Department reported 730 COVID-19 related deaths for Delaware County as of Thursday, July 30.  Of those, 576 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department

There were 1,152 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania as of Sunday, Aug. 2, since numbers were last reported Friday, July 31. Pennsylvania is now listing a total of 113,590 COVID-19 cases.

There were 29 additional COVID-19 deaths statewide, for a total of 7,209 deaths reported, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Statewide, 1,130,979 people have tested negative for the virus.
