Open Mic Night Fundraiser July 15, Via Zoom, to Benefit Upper Darby Community Outreach Corporation

By

A virtual Open Mic Night fundraiser, Upper Darby Cares Open Mic Night July 15 at 7 p.m., will benefit the continued pandemic work of The Upper Darby Community Outreach Corporation.

The long-standing nonprofit has been providing hot meals and other help in the Upper Darby and Eastern Delaware County community.

It has been trying to meet increased needs in struggling neighborhoods without the benefit of donors from in-person fundraising events.

UDCOC Executive Director Pastor David Shaheen said the July 15 fundraiser will take place through a Zoom call, using area musical talent. The audience can watch the performance safely from their homes.

“This event is in observance of our 20th year serving thousands of people and will greatly help sustain our services to the community,” said Pastor Shaheen. “We are counting on your support to continue this service work for our neighbors.”

Acts include performances from members of the Upper Darby School District music faculty, alumni of the Upper Darby School District and Upper Darby Summer Stage program, and so many more.
