Delaware County COVID-19 Cases at 8,285 as of Sunday With 720 Deaths Reported Friday

COVID-19 statistics were unavailable from the Chester County Health Department for Sunday, July 26.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that as of noon, July 26, Delaware County had 8,285 cases of COVID-19.

As of Friday, July 24, the Chester County Health Department reported 720 COVID-19-related deaths for Delaware County.

Of those, 576 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Yeadon Borough has the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 461 cases, affecting 4.02 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby has the most cases reported, at 1,342, affecting 1.62 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 52,885 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 79.25 percent recovery rate.
