24 New COVID-19 Cases Reported for Delaware County on July 2, 1 More Death

As of Thursday, July 2, there were 24 additional cases of COVID-19 reported in Delaware County.

There was one COVID-19 related deaths reported.

That brings the total number of positive cases in the county to 7,299 with the number of COVID-19 related deaths at 702.

Of those, 563 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Yeadon Borough has the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 428 cases, affecting 3.73 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,194, affecting 1.44 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 267 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

The county has had 37,761 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting an 82.81 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, July 2, that there are 832 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 88,074

There were 63 additional deaths reported with the total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 at 6,712.
