Philadelphia Flyers iconic logo has made several appearances in “The Goldbergs,” the popular ABC sitcom based on the life of Jenkintown’s Adam F. Goldberg, writes Sam Carchidi for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

In an episode from 2018, the show featured a Flyers segment, including a game at the Spectrum. In the episode, where a young Goldberg – an executive producer of the show – goes to his first hockey game with his father. The pair went to the game after the boy used hockey tickets as a way to connect with his father.

The episode was a recreation of how the real Goldberg actually reconnected with his father.

“When I was 12, my dad got season tickets, and when he brought me to my first game, it was instant love,” Goldberg said. “My best memories are going to the Spectrum with my dad.”

Goldberg featured Flyers-related segments in several other episodes, including the 2016 episode dedicated to the club’s late co-founder, Ed Snider.

“Whenever I can put Flyers stuff in a show, I love doing it,” said Goldberg.
