30 New COVID-19 Cases Reported June 17 for Delaware County, Four Deaths

Delaware County had 30 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 for Wednesday, June 17 and four deaths reported, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

That brings the total number of cases in the county to 7,021 and the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 678. Of those, 540 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes,

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 414 cases, affecting 3.63 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,141, affecting 1.37 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 254 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

The county has had 29,099 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 77 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, June 17, that there are 335 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 79,818.

There are 6,319 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 43 new deaths.
