Lamb McErlane to Merge with Newtown Square-Based Imperatrice, Amarant & Bell

By

Lamb McErlane, a premier regional law firm based in West Chester, will merge with Imperatrice, Amarant & Bell, a litigation and corporate law firm in Newtown Square.

The merger will take effect on June 1 and will join Lamb McErlane’s 36 attorneys with IAB’s 5 attorneys. The combined firm will operate under the name of Lamb McErlane PC and will have offices in West Chester, Newtown Square, and Philadelphia.

The merger will help Lamb McErlane strengthen its already substantial regional footprint while also broadening its platform with corporate, real estate, and municipal-related practices.

“This merger provides tremendous benefits to the clients and attorneys of both firms and is a significant milestone in our continued growth,” said Joel L. Frank, chairman of Lamb McErlane.

Rocco Imperatrice, the managing partner of IAB, said that while the firm had explored other options, it was motivated to merge with Lamb McErlane after recognizing that the two firms shared a highly compatible culture and vision.

“At the end of the day, Lamb McErlane really impressed us with their collegiality, regional presence, and stellar professional reputation,” said Imperatrice. “The idea of merging with a firm with the qualities of Lamb McErlane was an opportunity we simply could not pass up.”
