Delaware County COVID-19 Cases Hit 300, But No New Cases Were Reported in Several Municipalities Monday

Delaware County is reporting 45 additional cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, March 30, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 300, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The number of fatalities remains at five.

Though the virus is now being reported in 44 of the county’s 49 municipalities, several municipalities reported no new cases or a low number of new cases.

Upper Darby Township still leads in total cases, up two from Sunday, with 36 cases.

No new cases were reported in Haverford, which still has 25 positive confirmed cases.

Radnor Township also has two additional cases, for a total of 25.

Marple Township’s caseload is unchanged at 16.

Nether Providence and Newtown Township each have one more case, for a total of 15 each.

Middletown and Springfield Townships remain unchanged at 12 cases each.

Thornbury Township has one more reported case of COVID-19, for a total of 10.

Ridley Township remains unchanged, at nine cases.

Aston Township remains unchanged at eight cases.

Swarthmore and Upper Chichester have one more reported case, at seven.

Darby Borough has two more cases, for a total of six.

Concord Township remains unchanged at five cases.

Upper Providence Township and Yeadon Borough also have five cases.

Ridley Park, City of Chester and Lansdowne Borough each have four cases.

Three cases each were reported in Bethel, Clifton Heights, Darby Township, Media, Millbourne Morton, and Sharon Hill.

Two cases each were reported in Aldan, East Lansdowne, and Rose Valley.

One case each was reported in Brookhaven, Chadds Ford, Chester Township, Collingdale, Colwyn, Eddystone, Edgmont, Folcroft, Glenolden, Norwood, Prospect Park, Tinicum, and Trainer.

Glenolden had its first case reported Monday.

No cases have been reported in Chester Heights, Lower Chichester, Marcus Hook, Parkside, Rutledge or Upland Borough.

There are 30 additional cases reported that are still under investigation and are not yet tied to a municipality.

The majority of cases reported fall between the ages of 20 and 69.

The county had 2,054 people test negative for the virus.
